Notaries Express, Walnut Creek
Can we, please, have some of these positive comments posted in Signing Central?
My sister, attorney, told me that I can say anything I want, as long as I say, “…in my opinion,...” so here goes. In my opinion…. 1st Amendment, I believe.
I will, most likely, be boiled in oil for this post, but if I don’t stand for something, I will fall for anything, so I decided to stand up for what’s right---so fire up the boilers; I like the heat. Notaries Express, Walnut Creek, has always treated me with respect and acted with integrity, ALWAYS.
Every so often things get lost, misplaced or overlooked. Some things just simply fall through the cracks, but as with everything else in life, communication is the best answer. Maybe a simple telephone call or an e-mail is a better fix than a public outing before we have even asked the question or asked for resolution. By all means, if there are outstanding payment issues or professional differences that cannot be resolved, post it.
We are all in this together, interconnected and dependent on the truthfulness and accuracy of the information we share with each other. If I see a post from PAW, Marian, Sylvia, BrendaTX, Moneyman, James, et al, I’m pretty darned sure they have done some fact checking to substantiate the post, and I appreciate the integrity. In these tough times I would really hate to turn down signings because of inaccurate information, but can ill afford the deadbeat, no-pay signings, so I act according to our collective experiences with these companies, as do all of us, I’m sure.
Throughout the past three years of successful signing with Notaries Express, Walnut Creek, I’ve had no payment or principal/principle issues whatsoever. I have NEVER been asked to do ANYTHING unethical to get signing closed, and Steve stands behind me on EVERY signing. Here’s a point to ponder: everything on their notary confirmation is negotiable. If you sincerely disagree with the “no pay for cancellations,” policy, negotiate! It’s open. Personally, I don’t bother: I make it back in successful signings, and receive on-time payment.
Many of us don’t like to post our fees, but I’ll jump up and state that I earned $4,575 FY 2009, and to date, $4,210 FY 2010, and been paid every red penny. I don’t have to post $xx. or $xxx. – the fee is $85. unless otherwise negotiated. I will sign for less because I know I’ll be paid and won’t be putting my commission on the line. What difference does it make if you are promised $200. if you’re not paid? Sure, they met your fee…..
Steve is ALWAYS available---push #5.
And, I don’t have to push #1 for English.
…..in my opinion.

Fees
Look at it this way. Do you want 2 jobs at $80/$85 or one job at $100? simple math. The more work you want, the more competitive you must be. my high volume clients get a bigger discount and I get the 1st call. This week I've done 12 signings for one company in 3 days at $85. If my fee was $100, I would have lost most of those jobs and would only have been called for orders that NO one else was available. If you want 1st priority and if you want to be the 1st call, then lower your fees. Everyone is so hush, hush about their fees. But face it, if you charge $100, you are the last person the call on their list. I'd rather have 10 $85 signings, then 2 $100 signings. Others have clearly disagreed with me in the past. I don't care. My clients tell me that the lower fee signing agents get the call 1st. Something to think about.
