Question for LA notaries
Does the Note always get notarized in LA? I did a 2 part signing last night where the wife was signed in LA and her signature was notarized on the Note and I did the hubby in IL. I can't even tell if the wording is an ack or a Jurat partly because some of it is in French. I was told to attach an ack, which is no problem. Just wondering.

I know that Angelinos think that they rule the world
but I didn't think that they would have their own loan rules in Los Angelas.!!! jk Need a LOOOSIANA NSA to respond, but I have heard that mortgage notes are notarized in LA.

We "paraph" notes here...basically there's language that "ties" the note to the mortgage. It is signed by the notary. Where was the property located? If IL, then no paraph needed on the note.

Thanks, I understand. Property located in LA. I attached an Ack to the Note per instructions from Title.
Also, the notary in LA filled out an ack not attached to anything and also did not cross out the borrower that did not appear in front of her in the notorial certificates. Kind of a mess.

People from loooosiana migrated north to St Louis and Detroit and west to LA; Chicago competes with them all. LOL
