Recorder's office responds
Last week, there was some discussion about a California recorder's office listing the NNA as a resource for aspiring notaries public. I sent an email to the recorder, urging the office to reexamine the decision to list the company.
Today I received the following email from the recorder in response:
"Dear Hugh, The web page has been updated with the appropriate revisions have been made. Sincerely, Ceci"
I do not know what revisions have been made.

New website info
"To become a California notary Public, you will need to contact the Secretary of State Notary Public Division at (916) 653-3595 for information or you may log onto the California Secretary of State's Notary Public web page at www.sos.ca.gov/business/notary/ to obtain all of the information an applicant will need to apply for appointment as a notary public."
Proper referral made and a certain organization deleted.

Applause! Applause! Again, kudos to all of you who exposed
this & did something about it. Otherwise, the CA SOS would have had a not of 'splaining to do about the lobbying efforts of XYZ. LOL
