Weird D/L issue today. Just amazing
Get to borrowers and he hands me copy of his DL. I look at it and someone else (a lady) signed the DL with her signature. Borrower was just as stumped as I was. He had no idea someone else's signature was on his DL much less a lady. And, the really really weird part of it is that I actually know the lady that signed it. She used to go to my church. I wonder what hers says. So, obviously this was a no go, but there were other things that were wrong with the docs so it would have been a no go anyway. How in the world does something like this happen? Heaven only knows. Just goes to show that we are all human and all make mistakes. We just wish the "government" bodies of us wouldn't make these kinds of mistakes. Gotta love this job.

I find misspellings, wrong zip codes and transposed addresses on IL DLs all the time. When I point them out to the borrower, they are always surprised and never noticed. Good thing when we've had the name misspellings, they had a state ID or passport that we were able to use instead!

Same thing happened to one of the attorneys I worked for years ago. He came back from the BMV, proudly showed me his new license (small office - what can I say?) and my immediate reaction was "hey - this isn't your signature!" Apparently it is possible to get the signature queue mixed up, and they had to contact the driver who signed to have him come back in for a re-do also. They apparently just got the photos and signatures reversed. It does make you wonder how often something like that can happen.
