Re: anyone having trouble with yahoo mail?
Yes, I am and have been for a couple of weeks now. There are a couple of signing services that send confirmations to my yahool mail address and I don't get them. I've had to call them and have them send the confirmations to my g mail account. I contacted yahoo mail but they can't seem to help.

Thought it was just me, up the middle of nowhere on top of a mountain, hotter than hell. I just got bumped off, in a sports bar down by the beach watching the Dophins and beating the heat in AC and a glass of chardonnay.

Check to see
if you are using Yahoo mail classic or their new version. They are phasing out the classic and it is not running very well. Could be the issue.

Re: anyone having trouble with yahoo mail?
Don't know if this is related or not, but a couple of days ago, I got an email from a neighbor saying that her Yahoo mail had passed on a pc virus. Here's the essence of what she said (along with profuse apologies):
"I want to let you know that you have received an email virus from me. A virus hacked into my Yahoo email account and has been sending emails with a link in them without my knowledge or permission. I have changed the password on my Yahoo email account, and will be changing all my passwords on a regular basis from now on. I have Kaspersky antivirus installed, scan my computer every day, and my computer is clean. It is my email account that is infected.
So I would advise you to change the password on your email account too, just in case."
Fortunately, I don't think I had a problem, since I don't use Yahoo mail. I have an account there, but don't use it for much, as I have Outlook for my primary email. I will probably change my password, too, just in case.

Re: anyone having trouble with yahoo mail?
Well, here's the thing about that. It's easy to blame the mail provider, in the case of your neighbor, Yahoo, for not having your own computer secured or bad surfing habits, such as opening attachments from sources you don't know or going to questionable websites. Viruses and other malware can and is spread through any and all mail providers. The end user must make sure their own house is in order. All web based mail providers use a virus scan of some sort, but it's possible attachments can make it through, especially if you use instant messengers.
A neighbor of mine was cursing Gmail for the very same thing. When I asked a few simple questions, it turns out that he opened a pop up in his instant messenger "advertising" a program that will change any photo of yours into an avatar. He clicked it and things went crazy.
Bottom line, you need to be careful what you do, yes even with Mac or Linux. A lot of bad stuff out there.
