A new record....maybe

Today, one of our notaries completed 8 closings, same buyer, 1 sitting

Total time - 1 hour 10 minutes...

Tomorrow will be another record. Must be nice to have $$$$

Wow! I completed 5 about a month ago, in

nearly the same amount a time; however, some people that it was impossible. I guess not, huh?

There's no way this is possible if they were

full loan packages...UNLESS the notarizations were done later and not at the table and he/she didn't say a peep through the whole thing - and even then....

I don't buy it..sorry...MHO

Re: There's no way this is possible if they were

I'm not buying it either.

I know it's FL law that notarizations should be done at the table... but IMO, ALL of use should be doing it, despite the apparent "time savings" -- it just bugs me for some reason. If it were me signing the docs, I'd want to see the notary do his/her job, in full, in front of me. Of course, I'm the type that would want the tracking number for the return docs, too... and would requests copies of the notary's journals for my records. Personally, when possible, I fill out the notarial certificates ahead of time so all I need to do is sign and seal as we go.

Were these 8 full loan closings, or something else?

Hah..think I've got it

"8 closings, same buyer"

Cash purchases - 15-20 pages each max...maybe one or two notarizations each (hopefully done at the table according to FL law) .... I suppose that's possible. - but that's the only way..

Re: Hah..think I've got it

It would take me 20 mins to make the journal entries (16?)and have them sign my book and give fingerprints.

I assumed in FL as OP is...I could be wrong.

The ID verification forms would such up a good quarter to third of the time though.

Kind of misleading..the record would be if you paid them

$100 per "closing"...now you're taking records.

Once did 10 in about the same time. Full loan packages,

but identical except for the addresses.
Each pkg required only 3 or 4 stamps.
He signed, while I notarized.
Did a quick check and out the door.
Full fee for each pkg.
Ah, the good old days.
