Accounting (dept) "has not been here" ??

What is it with these SS companies that think it is OK for their "accounting dept" to go on vacation, or any other reason, so they can just send out payments when they feel like it? Especially one that is also either the TC or Lender?

Somehow I don't think the people working the phones waited 2 extra weeks to get paid themselves. Wounder how they did that with the accounting dept MIA? But these same people think it is perfectly fine for the SA's payment to be sent whenever.

I just called to check on a payment that is 10 days late and was told that "payment should be going out this week" because our "accounting department has not been here. But now they are back." "Should be" ...WTH?

Would this same company think it was acceptable if I finished a late signing the day before I went on vacation and waited to send in the docs until I got back? Very unprofessional and an extremely sorry excuse for late payment.

Especially bad, considering that I would wager that most (not all) signing services are run out of someone's home. The "accounting department" is usually a relative.

A few months back I had one tell me she was on vacation and would get back with me in a few days. I was like right you're on vacation with my money. I told her that and while she's out partying on my money I can't make the mortgage payment. I got the check in 2 days.
