Avenue365 Notary Solicitation Email

I don't know about anyone else, but I don't like getting solicitation emails from new agencies that expect me to fill out 13 pages of their information and send all of my information without getting any assignment offer. Some may view it as an opportunity, I see it as a shaky start.

I think the best way to evaluate an agency is how they should be doing the initial work to see you are already qualified and background checked based on your profile. Then they offer you a first assignment so you can get a feel for how much they pay. You have to dig a little under Avenue365's rating that's not listed in stars yet because their new but they've already had two 1 star complaints in March, 2011 for low pay of $70 for edocs.

I sent them an email saying I'll consider their company if they give me an assignment first. I wont' waste my time on low balling companies. $70 is just completely unacceptable. Our materials and costs are going up and these companies need to negotiate better with the lender for our fees.

I don't speak for anyone but myself here, but these low ball figures just aren't worth it.

This fellow who I considered spammed me, responded to my email as follows:

Sorry to have wasted your time. You are the first signing agent out 1200 that we have in our database currently to ask for this. We need paperwork before we can offer any closings. Please disregard our offer.

My advice to signing agents is not do free work for this company filling out their info only to learn they offer far below par rates to their agents.

LOCATENOTARY.COM sent me an email this morning soliciting their database services, but of course, they want money. Some poor sap is already listed in my zip code...

I don't find providing my info a waste of time at all

I give them my fees when I send the info in - if they can accommodate that they'll call me -

If they work strictly from their own database, I have a better chance of getting called if I'm IN it than if I'm not. They have a right to know our credentials before they consider us...

I agree with Linda there are many companies that are criticized in this chatroom for lowballing us. They know my fees XXX.XX and call me when there's an emergency closing I have no problem with that. As long as they pay on a timely basis, it's work!

Just completed 1st closing and no problems. Fee offered was in line with other groups I work for(not $70) Only fax back was a conformation/billing. Requirements were clearly stated.

The problem I see is that if we had to do this for every new signing service we'd get nothing else done. I think they could use NotRot just like everyone else and ask for additional information when they have a signing in my area... especially since I've never heard of them before today...

I have 9 closings now and no priblems. Checks arrive 16 to 18 days after closing. Fees are competive and adjusted for travel and size. Questions answered quickly. This a group that is focused on closings-done properly and paid properly.
