I few years back I also canceled a loan appt with this bozo, if you see his confirmation letter there is no address, unless he added one lately, but when I question this, he gave me his address but it a real fast way that I could not take.

That's a pretty strong accusation, Les. Please give us more info to back up your claim.

A thief is someone that hires you to do a job (in this case a first and second refi on a personal residence) You do the job, the loan closes and funds, and Mr. “THEIF” Joey Le keeps the fee from Title and does NOT pay anyone. In this case me my contracted for and agreed upon fee, even after many requests. The signing was on July 13 2004, and the borrowers name was Clark. My fee was a ‘small’ $140 for which I’m still owed. I keep records.
And may I say that if you think I post lies on this board, that I’ve been a member for years you can go and piss up a rope!

Whoa... Relax, Les. I don't recall accusing you of anything - and did not intend my post to be interpreted as a defense of Mr. Le. I just believe that, on principle, it's a good idea to give a reason or explanation if you make a strong accusation about any one. Your response was what I was looking for - and I imagine I'm not the only one.

You ‘hold on!’ Janet! In my opinion you did ‘de facto’ accuse me of lying!
Most of my posts are my OPINION. This is NOT my opinion!
Joey Le is a thief…FACT!
He is welcome now as he’s been in the past to rebut my accusation. He’s very silent!
There have been many many posts about him here and elsewhere that will show that I alone have not been cheated by him, but many others also.
Do a little research before you question someone’s integrity.
JMHO!

OK. I'll try to clarify. It never occurred to me that I was accusing you of lying, so I can only assume that you were reading between the lines and found something that I still don't think is there. You made a statement with no explanation. I then made a statement to the effect that I thought calling someone a thief without explanation was a serious accusation. I still think it's a serious accusation, but that's not the same as saying I believe that the accusation is or is not true. That's a different issue, which I didn't address at all. I then asked for more info (and I even said "please"! Smile)

When I read a statement like your first post from someone whose online name I don't know, I disregard it. While I wouldn't put you in that category, I figured someone else might. If an unknown-to-me person gives a reason for their accusation, I can then make a judgment about the veracity of their accusation. The more info provided, the more that judgment gets reinforced.

The reality of what was going through my mind at that point was that you probably had a pretty good story to tell about your experience with D&T. I thought it was probably worth getting the background and I figured others would, as well. Truth be told, to my amazement I've been finding myself agreeing with a lot of your posts lately, for some reason... Wink (Pretty shocking, huh?!!) You've been on a roll lately! Wink

Anyway, thanks for adding your explanation. It gives more teeth to your statement and I think more people will be likely to take it seriously. And please try to take my response at face value - no offense intended, nor any challenge to your integrity. I simply meant just what I said and nothing more. [BTW, if it helps, I dashed out that post quickly just as I was about to leave for an appointment.]

Okay... I acquiesce. You did not actually say that I was a lying sack of crap, just maybe inferred it? Or perhaps I took it the wrong way. I too was in a bit of a hurry, that’s why I did not go into a more detailed post about Joey Le. Let me apologize about misspelling thief, I’m a bit dyslexic and if I’m pounding the keyboard it doesn’t help. I’ve posted about Mr. Le in some detail for years. Do a search on D&T signing/Joey Le and you will see. I don’t know how these guys stay in business, I guess he sometimes pays local CA notaries to stay out of Small Claims Court, and stiffs others. Just so you know I don’t post hearsay and I try to stay away from rumor. I try and limit my posts about companies good and bad to people I have actually worked with. I don’t think all SS’s are bad, or that all Title Companies are good. And I may have been wrong on some things, but as I usually say my posts are my opinion, and nothing else. The exceptions are if I post about people like Joey Le, or Genuine Title (another deadbeat company that owes me) I’ve posted nothing about Titleserve/Settlement Corp. that apparently is now out of business even though I’ve done many signings for them in the past and always been paid. If I say someone paid me they did, if I say they did not, they did not.
And just to clear this up I’m a guy, old, male, and sometimes grumpy. A guy with a girl’s name. Kind of like the old Johnny Cash song “A boy named Sue.” It was lots of fun in grade school.
Some of this post is my opinion, and some is fact.

Known for low pay, slow pay. I haven't worked for them in years, but it was too much hassle.

He's called me more than once for signings - offering $90 max. I tell him, "No thanks".
