JPM Chase question...
Has anyone yet found out why Chase wants 12 RTC's signed? I always apologize to the bwrs but get them all signed. Any reasoning behind this that would justify it? Opinions?

I have been told by the title company to just get them all signed as they have not questioned why themselves.

Have you ever heard; Our is not to question why, ours ie to do..... Why do you even question this with the Br. Hand tyhem to the Br and ask the to sign and date as needed. You are only creating an problem if you question or say you can't understand why there are some many.

Don't get your pantaloons in a bunch AS Johnson, I ALREADY SAID I GET THEM ALL SIGNED WITHOUT QUESTION. If my rather mild inquiry upset you, I'd hate to think what your reaction might be if I queried something with a little gravitas. Enjoy your day.

Just FWIW, I don't think A S Johnson's post was even directed at you - and I didn't read his post as being upset. I think it's a good idea for us all to be careful how we read things on any public forum. It's way too easy to take things personally, even when they aren't meant that way.

I had 8 RTC's the last Chase assignment...and yes, I apologized to the borrowers too.

You guys get all the NRTC signed if you want too. In AZ the law states that the borrowers need 2 each. 2 for the husb.& 2 for the wife. One for the lender.

This is an 'old' answer: I'd been getting 'em all signed until I got 12 for a single B. I called and questioned that. I was told '12 is the program's default number, we only need the correct number signed'. Have done that ever since with no problem--yet.

Now that makes sense. Thanks for the clarification, Lee.

I've never been asked to have all signed. I have 2 signed &
leave the rest with the borrowers. I've done hundreds of Chase loans in the past 6 months for multiple companies and it hasn't presented a problem (...yet....knock wood....)
And for the record, I don't print BoA 38 pages of closing instructions and have never been called on that either.

I have checked w/ the Processors when I get the packet and they are ok w/ having borrower(s) sign the 2 required with 2 blank RTC's in the copy packet, or have them sign 4 but leave them 2 signed copies (2 for each borrower). Nobody seems to know why, but it is unnecessary.

Just to clarify, I have been told by Processing that signing all 12 is overkill; 2 each is ok.
