Kentucky lowballers
Why would you take a purchase closing for $50.00? You must be pretty desperate for work or something to fill your time because you surely are not making money. It's people like you that make it hard on the rest of us that are trying to pay bills. I hope when you get there all your pens are out of ink and your seal is dried up. Oh and by the way This co. hasn't been paying the notaries lately. So bad luck to you.

Re: Just needed to blow off some stream
lol I can appreciate that. I was thinking the same thing earlier. This SS called and asked me to take less than my fee. I didn't feel comfortable doing it because I really don't work for them that much and don't think I should lower my fee for anything under $xxx.
I came on and checked to see that this co has a GREAT (5 STAR or does it only go up to 4?) rating in SC. I called her back and said I would work with her. The signing is only 2 miles (or less) from my home.
Anyway, so I get the package...finally, and its a BOA!!! Aaaand the confirm says its for less than we agreed on. I would assume its just a form confirm????
What I want to know is who is the #*^*&^(Y@% doing closings in Northern NJ for $85 with a package that has almost 150 pages?????

Re: BOA = Bank of America
BOA is notorious for having large packages. If they didn't have 30 pages in closing instructions, it would be just about a normal size document package IMO.

Re: Kentucky lowballers - I did a little cyphering today.
A local $50 assignment breaks out into $5 or less per hour.
I want to know how to live on that.

Ciphering, not cyphering. Oops.
For those of you who do not know about "ciphering"... google Jethro Bodine. He could cipher, too.

I turned down $75 for a purchase here in KY the other day. They wouldn't accept my $90 fee! I was giving them a deal, i usually charge $125 for purchases. They said that it was a "HUD Loan, and HUD doesn't allow more than $75 for the notary." Which is no true. I used to be a Title Co escrow manager, and that is complete BS!

Re: Kentucky lowballers...A HUD loan...
the last couple HUD loans I've done have been over 200 pages - one I did had 28 notarizations....based on experience I, personally, would not do a HUD loan for less than $175-$200 - those packages are usually a mess with triplicates and quadruplicates of many affidavits, all of which have to be signed and notarized because who are we to decide they're not required?? And they take forever to wallow through that mess of a package.

would be HELPFUL if you outed the company! no need to
worry about being blackballed since you wouldn't work for them such low shitty pay anyway...?
