Re: Sorry, that's 10 reams at around $4/ream.

What grade of paper do they sell? I only buy letter-size paper with a minimum 24 Lb. weight and 96 brightness. Unfortunately, I haven't found an affordable option for legal-size paper that meets my standards. My high-speed laser printer eats any paper of a lesser weight. Thus, I have to use a slower laser printer when printing legal-size docs. Also, clients have complained about pages being hard to read when brightness of paper less than 96. Any hints/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

What kind of printer are you using that you have to use such thick paper?

Costco legal = 92 brightness 20 weight.

Nine years I've been in this business. I've had borrowers complain about the pens I provide, the volume of documents, the duplication of forms, the loan officer's inattentiveness, the length of the closing, the inaccuracy of the documents, the slowness of the spouse's signing, the lameness of my jokes, the extensiveness of my explanation of the documents, the paucity of my explanation of the documents, and the length of hair in my ears. I have never, however, had anyone, borrower, client, lender, document processor, witness, or homeless dumpster diver complain about the brightness of the paper I use. And yet you have had "client[s]" complain? Wow.

Agree, Susan.

I used to buy the better stuff back in the day, and I believe it was even cheaper, but not anymore. Costco's just fine, as far as I'm concerned.

Re: Sorry, that's 10 reams at around $4/ream.

My clients didn't specifically mention the brightness. They're not that bright. They did, however, mention how difficult it was to read the pages. In Arkansas, most of the clients I meet use dim lighting. Maybe they think they're saving money. What I have realized is that the brightness factor of the paper I print on is directly related to the page's readability. A brightness factor of 96 or better is readable even in dim lighting. So, NO! They didn't mention the brightness. Sorry for the confusion. But, thanks for responding. btw...sarcasm noted. So glad you have such a great personality. Your clients must love meeting with you...
