More than 3500.00 spent on toners...
Some one posted that he/she spent this much last year in just toner.
In my case if I spend 3500.00 in toner per year I could have done the following signings:
[e-mail address] bottle of toner=429
Each bottle of toner gets me 7500 pages
7500x429= 3,217,500 pages
3,217,500@250 pages per signing(average)=12,870 signing
12870/365=35 signing per day
35 signing per day@125 well you get the idea.
Well all depends where you get your supplies.
Or maybe he/she meant 350.00 dollars.

I've spent that much before
I posted a long time ago about finally taking the "plunge" and using one of those toner kits. I couldn't believe how easy it was to fill and all of that. However, before that, I was dropping $175-$200 per cartridge. Anyway, I learned from that experience. If any of you are not refilling your own cartridges, I highly recommend it. It was so easy. What kept me from trying to do it on my own was I had tried many years ago (15 probably) and it was just a huge mess. Not any more.

I was the one that said I paid that much. I tried the refilling. UGH! I don't have "Diva" as my screen name for nothing. Too messy. Will you come fill mine? tee hee I have no doubt that if I practiced doing it it probably wouldn't be so messy, but it was too frustrating for me!! And I think I mentioned I tried the refurbs and the compatibles, but more times than not there was a problem with them. The toner was always leaking and they really trashed my printers.
7500 copies? Yes, they PROFESS that but in my experience it never ends up that way!!! Every time I change my toner, I write down what the number of copies is. My Brother high yield toner states on the box that it gets approx 6,700 pages with 5% coverage on a page. However, I just recently changed it and the number of pages that cartridge printed was 4,851. That seems to be typical. I'm not good with math, but it doesn't sound right to me.
Maybe you math wizards can let me know. lol I might be expecting too much.

I just finished refilling 3 cartridges this morning, one for my hl-5140dlt<<this one has 12 refills in a single cartridge bought a few years ago from supermediastore and keeps going and going, quality of text? DEEP BLACK that you can fill with your fingers. The other 2 it was for my HL-5250DNT.
One more thing you may not believe I save all the "USED" toner when I empty the cartridges and today one bottle was already full and I used that one, guess what? prints as brand new toner.
Someone here said that the used toner is electrically charged and can not be used, well not my experience. So I think I have saved thousand and thousands of dollars by refilling my cartridges.
I also write a note on every cartridge to keep track of pages printed and I reset the drum every refill and brother drums last till past 100K pages.
The only CON of all of these is the mess and maybe that you breath a little of toner, but I do it outdoors in a windy day and I position myself that the wind blows in the other direction.

Suggestion. Next time you need a new printer , check
with a local dealer . Many offer service policies that provide for on site service and toner, at a price of $.0x per page. I have seen them at about 1 cent per page. Need to buy a higher end printer, but math may work out Mine is still going strong at 500K + pages and I have a known, low per per page cost. Toner is delivered to me at no cost via UPS as I need it.

That is the way to go if you have a high volume business
3 years ago after my HP died 250K before it gave up. Canon business copier, scanner and fax machine was 120/month included toner and service all you needed to do was add paper. It was a 5 year lease with limits on the amount of copies per month. Business was tailing off and the outlook did not look well for us so I passed.
