National Notary Registry
Received an email from them this morning wanting me to list with them. Stated it was a free listing. After completing all the information, they want your credit card info so they can verify you are a real person.

I see they claim to not be affiliated with NNA
but their logo is surprisingly similar...

So what’s the point? Why sign up with them? So they can send us the NNA’s spam? I’m trying NOT to get that crap now. Sounds like just another BS deal trying to sucker in the NNA newbie’s. I’ll pass!

PS: These people should NOT be confused with “THE NATIONAL SIGINIG AGENT REGISTRY” a sight I highly recommend…..

Yes. Mostly attorneys doing some real estate…estate work, and a couple of Title Companies, with investors with….multiple property/ commercial closings. Also if you have a question you can find/get an answer (that is correct) there. My best sites for volume business are the “coffee” site, and the “numbers” site, and some from here of course.

Never give your credit card to any company that is not a recognized notary association for anything other than a paid membership or supplies you are purchasing (which you can do without becoming a member - may pay slightly more, but that's okay) or an entity you intend to advertise/market through for a premier type membership. If they're wanting your credit card to prove you're who you say you are, then DON'T DO IT!

Giving my cc info for I d will never happen again. Last year, I open an e-mal, in my Windows Mail lnbox, "from" OverStock.com, a scam that redirected to another site in England. It was about HP printers. To check the printers out I needed to register and give my CC info. I didn't find anything I wanted and exeited the site. 15 minutes later Chase fraud dept call about a charge to my cc. Yes! it was a membership/bid fee charge for the site in England. To dispute the charge I had to cancell that card, which had about 10 auto charges each month and several random time auto charges, ie to replenish my toll tag account. It's a real problem to closed a card and move everything over to the new account.
