Notary Public Network

Previous thread 381499 supplied some info on this organization.

Here is more from their website.

The Notaries within our network go through a rigorous qualification process, including background checks and client services training. Our notaries follow the National Notary Association's Model Notary Act, which details expectations for professional conduct. The guidelines set forth by NPN are unparalleled in the industry; our network of notaries is one of the most scrutinized in the nation, which ensures that you, our client, receive a premium experience every time.

Any possibility they are affiliated???

I don't know if affiliated, but my thoughts are:

They will do all the rigorous riagmarole until they don't have anyone for a particular area. Then it will be just a phone call away to someone who tells them how wonderful they are. Or, in other words, they will fill the order with whoever they can find.

riagmarole

Thank you for spelling out this word. I know many use it all of the time but I didn't know how to spell it.

Re: riagmarole

Ummm...not exactly sure how to say this, but if you are relying on what was posted above, you still don't know how to spell it. The correct spelling is "rigmarole." A variant, which is what I have heard all my life -- it was one of my mother's favorites -- is "rigamarole."

Another frequent usage de mi madre was "messin' and glommin' around." I'm not sure what the Shakespearean, Websterian, Oxfordian or New Worldian definition of that would be, though Gert -- that's Mother -- never had any problem making her meaning of it understood. It was not an accusation you wanted to have flung at you.

Totally agree that I should not type without my glasses...

rigmarole [ˈrɪgməˌrəʊl], rigamarole
n
1. any long complicated procedure
2. a set of incoherent or pointless statements; garbled nonsense
[from earlier ragman roll a list, probably a roll used in a medieval game, wherein various characters were described in verse, beginning with Ragemon le bon Ragman the good]

Thanks to you and Dave for even understanding my misspelled rattlings. Was that Dave's tongue-in-cheek attempt to tell me I misspelled? Glad we got the record straight - LOL

HUH? Rigmarole

Ness, I never even heard it said any other way than the way your mother said it! I would never have known that's how it's spelled.

And how about the other day I saw the word "Milquetoast"? Boy, I've not heard that one in a good 30 years (oh, I mean since I was one years old...lol!) And I would NEVER have known to spell it that way!

I'm suspicious of anyone using XYZ criteria. I'm wondering

if they will be requiring XYZ bgc's. Too bad so many companies are being sold that bill of goods by the org. they THINK is the leading authority in the industry. Blahhhhhh!

I don’t know about you, but I’m always suspicious of a company (A new Signing Service) that does not post an actual physical address, and wants to do business but without a toll free number.(you call’m with a question it’s on your dime)I would guess because of the 415 area code they are located in CA, near San Francisco, however neither of these co-owners, with all this experience is listed as a CA notary? And what a business plan! They plan to be ‘different’ because they plan to hire notaries that are not morons. They are only going to hire notaries that can actually do the job…duh? Really? Wow that’s a plan. Sounds like another undercapitalized, get rich quick on the other guys money, start up SS. I want to know whom they have paid, and when, and how much? I think I’ll pass on this one. JMO
