They must be on crack...right?

I've been going down the list of companies in signing central in alphabetical order. Over the weekend, I sent an email to a company and I got a response within a couple minutes.

The message stated that if I wanted to sign on board with them, that it would be $15.95 a month. That I would have to pay them to get assignments.

Um, double you tee eff?

If I mention the company on here, will that get me in trouble?

Do they have that info on their profile?

If they do, I would give their name because it is already out there.

If they do not, I would give their name because they should list such requirements in their profile.

And no, if you received an email from them that stated that, I don't believe you would be in any trouble from anyone around here.

I personally do not pay any company to be on their list. They do not guarantee to meet my fees or a set minim number of signings per month.

At least you know not to pay a company to sign up with them. $15.95/mo--ridiculous. It sounds like NLC, and I only get low-ball offers from them anyway.

Here's maybe another one...In their profile it says. " There is an annual fee of $10.95 to register as a provider in our database.".....

$10.95 a year isn't so bad, but how are we providers?

Paying to work for any SS for whatever reason is like placing your foot on your backside, and then shooting yourself in the foot! At least you accomplish two things at once.

Re: Re:LOL Les

Okay….let’s consider
1) Web sites are cheap.
2) If you can’t get any title companies, lenders, or mortgage brokers to use your service… Because you are undercapitalized, cheat people, don’t pay your bills, don’t have a clue about this business, and you can’t get anyone to work for you……You can…..
3) Try and charge NSA’s a fee to sign up with you, promising work, volume, anything! After all the NNA promises a good, well paying, work from your home profession to suckers that enroll in their courses every day. Some of these not too bright people may just buy the (magic bean) story and sign up!
4) Good honest well established SS’s don’t charge people to ‘sign up’ with them, they don’t have to. But if you can’t make it legitimately, go ahead and ask… You’ve got nothing to lose….It’s free money!

I spent an entire day a couple months ago

contacting companies in SC - I didn't fine ONE that requested a fee...

Are you checking these companies out first? Reading the posts about all the companies? Are you limiting your contacts to 3 stars or higher? (I limited mine to 3.5 and up)

Make sure you read all the linked threads on each company; read the "Ratings and Comments" on each company; then come here and search for unlinked threads. If you still want more info google the company - if they've been discussed enough it will be all over google - but you can also search the deli site and the numbers site for feedback.
