This is good...least I think so...:)

Had a BGC in 2006 by NNA; company (who prefers NNA BGC's) recently requested an updated BGC; I ordered full file disclosure - sent it in.

I just got an e-mail that the report I sent was acceptable because it didn't contain the 4 elements that their clients require (right) - Criminal check (it did); Identification Verification (it did); Motor Vehicle and OFAC report (??)

Well, you "prefer" the NNA BGC, I send the NNA BGC, and it's not sufficient...huh?

Office of Foreign Assets Control...sorta a/k/a Terrorist watch list. Man, bet those terroists are just salivating at the prospect of running around closing loans, huh? And you are right, it DOES include all those things you mentioned. Perhaps they are reading-impaired. As to Motor Vehicle... what do they want to know? That you have one? That it's insured? I fail to see what that info has to do with what we do.

I just got my LexisNexis my (free) “Disclosure Report” It has nothing about OFAC, or Motor Vehicle on it. Does have /Bankruptcy/Criminal/Judgment/Liens/Aircraft/Watercraft and some other stuff all saying “No Records Found” Only basically lists ID (DOB/SSN/Phone number) and “Historical Phone Records” listing my telephone numbers, one since 2003, although I’ve had that number since 1985. Pretty much nothing on it, but I haven’t had anyone say it’s not acceptable.
Now in an older LexisNexis “Screening Solutions Summary Report” done in 2006 Had ID verification (report), and a National Criminal/Multi-state Sex Offender Search (clear) an OFAC Blocked persons List (clear)a Criminal Records Report (clear),and a Driving record (report) on my driving record said no record found, so I don’t know what that means? I think using different companies is all BS, and perhaps a stalling technique.

I got mine in three mailings

The motor vehicle report was sent separately from the others. Very detailed. It even contained information about my daughter's cars while she was living in my house when she had hail damage to her car. How is this anyone's business??

Was that the motor vehicle report or the

car insurance report - I have several pages of reports on my car insurance carriers and my homeowners' insurance carriers....

And IMO it's NOT their business.

Re: Was that the motor vehicle report or the

Car insurance carriers. IMHO they are taking this BGC WAY too far!! It is to the point of invasion of privacy.

Re: Was that the motor vehicle report or the

I totally agree with you all, but they take this stuff from public records. The problem is, too much info is on public record.

The BGC from NR contains all those elements, is simple &

co's. can easily verify the info. on the website or you can send them a copy of the report.
I haven't been asked for one in quite a while, but I'm current & ready if asked.

Wondering if it's worth it for me - this company

is the only one that requires it and they only call me about once every other month...

Aggravating.

NR is the only one I'll use, and if you send it - they will

accept - at least, I've never been denied.

When I respond that I refuse to do business with the NNA, and briefly why, the answer is consistently that NR's was just fine. True, requesters have been 'surprised' that I don't carry the NNA water, but I silently discount that - I can't be the ~only~ one.

So, I vote NR - hope that helps.

Thanks Susie..

I wrote back - told them I don't know what more they want me to send - what I sent was what was collected when NNA did my BGC - so if their preferred provider isn't sufficient enough then I'm not sure what is..

Not to mention I've had 3 BGC's in the last year - last April for the Census, last June for my commission and just recently to be eligible to test for my CNA certification. I told them I'm so clean I squeak!!!

Haven't heard back yet...LOL...I'm probably being deleted...oh well...

'Welcome, Linda H. I think of this conflict: chosing one's

insurance company versus "requiring" one to buy yours.

Right's right, and wrong ain't.
