I received this e-mail as well.
The address is a drop box at a ups store a few blocks from my location.
The e-mail refers to a group of local realtors setting up the company. The only realty company anywhere near the drop site is an ERA operation.
I ran across this operation almost a year ago, under a different name, with the same mail drop. Still have no idea who the principals are.

I've deleted 3 from my spam folder so far today..
Every so often I get e-mail from them several times/day for several days - then it stops a while...it's almost like those robo-callers...LOL

ROFL Sylvia..was just going to post that!!
"FAQ Who can join? While most members tend to be mid-and upper level management and senior staff professionals, anyone with a sincere desire to enhance his or her career through networking is welcome.
Is there a cost to join? There is a yearly fee of $250.00, payable by check. If you do not receive enough referral business or derive savings from doing business with other UNOREP members to recover your membership fee of $250 within one year,UNOREP will refund your money.
What happens to the money that is collected? Part of your membership fee pays for data entry. The suggested weekly contribution is used to offset the cost of printing and distributing job leads, the UNOREP information line, the fax lines, postage, directories and the like. "

Re: And this....what is "reasonably current"???
I just googled unrop and found previous threads 3648586 and 364860 from last year. At that time it appeared there was some virus coming from this website. BE CAREFUL.

They seem to come in cycles... more companies with some new idea about how to separate us from some of our hard-earned money. There are a few key players already well established (like this site) and it's my personal opinion that someone would have to come up with a pretty revolutionary idea to make it worthwhile to spend money for a listing on anther directory.
I always find it useful to put myself into the shoes of potential clients when evaluating these guys. Frankly, as business is slowing down, I hardly think that a tc or ss is going to go looking for a brand new directory to find notaries. UNLESS they're looking for a new crop of victims to prey on... 'Nuff said on that.
