WTF?

I have a purchase closing. The packet came with six -- count 'em, six -- copies of the HUD. Can someone explain the rationale behind that, please?

Why would each of those need a HUD with a wet signature? Wouldn't a copy suffice?

I've had requests for as many as 9 signed HUDs.

What I can't understand is why the TC feels the need to print and scan 9 copies along with all the other title and lender docs.

I can read and follow directions. If the directions say to print 9 copies, I print 9 copies.

printing and scanning multiples

I can understand the reason for this like if you've been burned by bad SA's not reading the instructions.

This makes it less idiot-proof. Just click and print.

I still think like a teacher, sorry.

Since printing 8 additional copies of anything is not

a standard practice, I can see them scanning in the additional copies into the file to begin with.

When they do that it is easier for all, especially if the docs are late.

Maybe the directions said print 9 copies and a notary did...

9 copies of the entire package.

Just never know....

I've seen a couple where they needed six wet signatures, but they were smart (and/or nice), and only included additional copies of the signature page. I appreciated that!!

I think it's pretty much standard for 6 copies of the HUD

w/purchases. Everyone involved wants to make sure they get paid. Aren't you just thrilled that you're helping with that. LOL

Re: I think it's pretty much standard for 6 copies of the HUD

I guess I don't do that many purchases; about one out of 40 closings, maybe, but I don't recall six HUDs in any other purchase. That's something that would have caught my eye.

Re: WTBD? (what's the bid deal)??

Didn't that acronym originate in Shakespeare? What transpires, Fortinbras?
