To prevent yourself from getting burned by non-paying companies, check out the reputation of a company before you complete the job for them. The Signing Central tab at the top of this page will lead you to a huge list of companies, along with ratings from notaries about those companies and also links to message threads about them. You must be signed in to see the ratings and message thread links. R&R Group has a long history of payment issues.
I linked your original message to the R&R Group's profile in SC. If you are not already logged in to Notary Rotary, log in. Then click on your original message and then click the "LINK" button which is located underneath the body of the message (you can't see the "LINK" button unless you are logged in). You will then be able to see their profile.

Highest rating in 2 yrs is 2-Stars? And not many of those.
I agree with Copperhead that every company needs to be checked out prior to even printing the docs nowadays, if not sooner. The best this company has ever received in SC is two (2) stars.
Maybe during the downturn of business lately we all should take a few minutes every day, or every few days, to make sure that we have either rated or updated our ratings on the companies that we have worked with over the last year or so? Just a suggestion but it might also help everyone to become a little more familiar with SC as well as some of the company names to avoid.
I'll admit that for my first 2 years in business, I did not use NotRot like I should have and did not realize how valuable it really is. Now, if I get a call from a company that I have not worked for, I ask them what their rating is on NotRot and tell them that I use this site for 98% of my research on the companies I am willing to work with. I have turned back a few in the last month or two due to finding out about the companies when I was unable to check the site while on the phone with them.

It appears if one links their thread to the SC listing of
the company, the company information appears to anyone who clicks on the link button.
But when tried to look up the same company, without clicking on the link, it doesn't show up.
Has this ever been addressed on NotRot??

Cari, if you are talking about the other 'linked' posts,
I think you are correct that they can only be seen when a linked post is used to view the company. (at least I think that is the only way they can be seen)
If I had to guess (and that's all it is on my part at this point) I would say that it is probably and "added benefit" for the posters that link their posts to the correct company. It could also be said that it is also an additional benefit to the readers as well. May have also been intended to help ensure the OP posters were talking about the correct company that they thought they were as well.
Not only that, but probably intended to also help cut down on multiple posts for the same company and/or issue (NREIS and non or slow payment comes to mind). I think the original intent was for posters to add to existing posts so that the original posts would be "updated" by the new posts.
Not only that, but after using the orange search button, anyone wanting info would be able to view one linked post then use the link to view others even if the exact name was not spelled correctly or something. If the "updating" idea above is correct, then it could be so that someone searching for a company sees only a few OP posts and would look at them and have sort of a "history" in fewer posts instead of seeing a company and seeing 150 different OP postings. Who would want to click on 150+ (or a lot in other words) postings to research each company? Any of us would only hit a few of them and might actually miss some important detail that could make all the difference.
So to be short (I know, too late) everyone should probably link their OP to the correct company each time the start a new post.
Again, just a guess on my part.
