printing supplies
I've been buying my ink supplies form LD Products and have never had a problem. It's now time for me to reorder. I've read previous recommendations for Private Abacus. Is this still the company of choice for many of you on this board? TIA

Re: I'm still using LD & haven't had a problem.
I just read a current thread where most contributers are using LD, no mention of Abucus. I tend to stick with things that have worked for me but became leary when I read people were having problems with LD. Although they guarantee their products I don't want the hastle of returning duds. Abucus' prices are a little less than LD so I'm wondering how reliable they are. If I don't hear anything favorable I'll probably stick with LD.

Some posters reported major quality problems with LD a little while back. I don't know what the resolution of that has been.
I used to be a regular LD customer several years ago, and never had a problem with their products or their service. However, I started comparing prices on Amazon.com, and Amazon beat LD three ways from Sunday on price. I've been ordering off Amazon for five years now, and have never had a problem except for one cartridge, which I returned and which was replaced without any hassle whatsoever.
I have been so satisfied I am thinking of ordering my next wife off Amazon, as soon as I can take care of that Sex Offender Registry thingy.

Thought you were doing so well after you took care of that "Sex Offender Registry thingy" last time. LOL

I used to buy my toners frfom LD until I started having problems with a couple of toners...they always were very professional about returning the toner to them but I became uneasy when the toner started leaking. Now I just buy the brand.

The other day, someone suggested ordering from Monoprice.com. I ordered from Amazon once a few months ago and received a defective cartridge. I ordered one from Private Abacus and it worked fine for me, but someone else reported having a problem with her order and said it was a huge hassle to get Private Abacus to take the items back. I have not yet ordered from Monoprice, but will try it next time. Otherwise, I still order from LD. I have had some issues with their cartridges, but they ALWAYS take care of it on their dime with no hassles (although it definitely is a hassle when you have a defective cartridge).

I have been using Private Abacus with no problems. I am experimenting right now. I ordered one re-manufactured and one compatible from Private Abacus. So far, the Compatible only printed 3,589 pages and the re-manufactured printed 3, 851 pages.
Next, I will order the high yield from LD products again and see how many pages I get from that. They all say 6000 pages, but we know that isn't going to happen with legal docs printed from top to bottom.
I stopped using LD when I was getting too many faulty cartridges. However; if I can print more sheets, I will go back to them, even if price is higher. This is for an HP LaserJet 1320n
On my Brother MFC, I refill all my cartridges.

At my age, being included on the Sex Offender Registry is actually a compliment.
