Jose, I applied for that free report and ended up getting several different ones, with tons of pages, mostly about how to read the report (which was really 3 or 4 reports). What are you using to send to potential clients? I was looking for a summary page, since the other pages had lots of personal info that I didn't think anyone needed to have (even though it's from public records). For example, all the details about my auto insurance, home ownership (including mortgage). If they want it badly enough, they can go find it, but there's nothing there that is relevant to my work as a notary. IMO, they just need to know that my record is clean, not all the personal specifics. I was hoping for some sort of summary page that could be sent without the details.
For those of you who have paid for other background checks (in addition to the one that we are required to buy when applying for a notary commission in California), were you able to get some sort of summary page?
BTW, I did find some errors in a couple of places, so it was a good thing I looked. Nothing that would affect my passing the screening for my notary commission, but wrong none-the-less. For example, it showed a property previously owned by someone else with a similar name in a county where I've never owned property. That person is now apparently deceased, but who knows what could come up with liens, etc. in the future. Besides, it's just wrong info. I've placed a call into Lexus Nexus and they say they'll investigate and have a response within 30 days.
