Baltimore hit hard with Hurricane Irene
No Electric, no closings. Darn I just removed my inverter from car to upgrade it. What a mess here.

When I lived in Puerto Rico for a couple of years, I endured several hurricanes. Give me an earthquake any ole day...rumbling doesn't last that long, hurricanes go far too long IMO.

All clear now here in VA. Storm blew through yesterday with
a lot of rain (6-10"), but not much more severe than a Nor'easter. Some flooding in areas, trees down, power-outages, etc., but not much loss of life. We can thank the great emergency planners that got everyone in the riskiest areas evacuated well before the storm hit. I was wishing we could have send some of that rain to Texas. It did put out those fires in NC in the Great Dismal Swamp--finally!!!!!! There's always a silver lining. :-)
