Closings are slow this month???

Hi, I went from more than I can handle last month, to almost nothing this month. Is everyone else slow or is it just my area? If not, does anyone have any ideas on how to drum up some business? Thanks for any input or help...

The first week of August was really busy for me. Then everything started to gradually slump. Now it's EOM and I have only done four so far this week, plus had three cancellations in a row. Maybe everyone is just on vacation and it will pick up again.

I hate to be the negative one here as I always try to stay positive about this business, but things just keep getting worse and worse and worse (over the last several years) and I don't anticipate this business improving too much in the near future if ever (now I worked in this business when it was booming). Please someone prove me wrong! I think this business will end up being for the part timers or those that only need a little extra cash, not those that rely on it to make a living. I have found a steady stream of work this month, however, I have had to fight for it, literally. The company that is giving me bulk work wants me to lower my fees as usual and only give me work when they get really busy. Hopefully (or more likely wishful thinking) all these low ball signing companies will go out of business and we will all get are work direct from the title companies or lenders! Now wouldn't that be a silver lining to the cloud? Well...don't hold your breath. Things may get worse before they get better... I am not sure what to do next. I am a realtor as well, so maybe R.E. will pick up? LOL...oh my...

Sorry..vented on your post. Yes, things have been hauntingly slow...praying the next few days pick up! Good Luck!

I've been doing this 11 yrs and have always found August to be a good month to go on vacation. Buz is quiet probably back to school and vacations.

Yes, slow for me, but all my TC clients say....

next month is looking really good.

August picked up a little for me, but business was about 1/3 "typical volume" for me ever since 1/1 of this year. That said, last year, my busiest months were September-December.

Here's hoping.
