Driver Needed from Las Vegas, NV to Ventura, CA
I'm looking for someone to transport an individual to bring my brother from Las Vegas to Ventura today, I'm looking for someone highly competent with good, A/C equipped transportation, a comfortable ride (no harley's please). Compensation is negotiable. I'm not putting this on Craigslist because it's a crap shoot screening people's qualifications. I've often thought of starting a limo servicde here in the wine country.
I know this community is a trustworthy one and hence I'm posting here. Individual must be insured and have a clean driving record. It's a five-hour drive each way. My brother Ted is able to come home today, and his daughter's car (she's there now) has no A/C. It's been 100 in Las Vegas this week.
Please call me directly 805-680-6224

Wish I were there - I would do it for the fun of the trip + expenses. I just love driving and seeing the country. Would have to play Ventura Highway along the way of course.....
I hope someone takes you up on this...what a respite from waiting for the phone to ring for example. Oh, could still answer and book anyway.....why are you not in FL?

I'll start calling notaries if I don't get any response shortly. Also thinking I will call the LV police and see if I can find a retired PO who might be interested in picking up some cash. A little reprieve from the oppressive heat!

Hmmm.... I'm pretty much halfway between both points. I'm not sure if I can swing it... but if I can, I'll call you Cheryl. I'd have to move a few things around for the day. As far as comfortable goes... well, it's an old Honda Civic... it's not a limo but the A/C works quite well.
Let me see what I can do.

Has is daughter looked into renting a car? They do rent to younger drivers now, you just pay an extra fee. I feel for you, ,my mom was in CO and couldn't fly home to FL on a commercial flight, brother chartered a small plane at a big price, $19k...she was comfortable.

Thank you, one in all, Stuart, Carolyn's husband, Marian....we're all good. Ted is being discharged at noon. My sister decided to go after him after all. I didn't want her to make the trip because she's so stressed and over tired, she has a brain impaired son to care for, but she's driven. She and Ted are very close...
I knew that I could count on all of you to make solid decisions. These life/death/wellness circumstances are pretty stressful...at least Ted's alive and has a great health outlook. He's a little vulnerable right now, can't fly even on a private plane.
We're grateful for all your input and offers.

So happy you found a solution! I was looking into private charter cars and found a possible one, looks like they would have charged around $500. Now get cooking, I'm sure he'd like something homemade when he gets back.
