I rarely post but couldn't resist sharing....
I received a call today from who I assume to be a notary interested in signing up with my company. A search of their number shows it's that of a signing agent listed on this site.
I answer the call.
Caller "Uh, yes...is this a notarization republic company?" Me: "Excuse me?" Caller: "Sorry, I must have the wrong number."
And this is a person competing for your hard earned business!!!!!!!!!
DISCLAIMER: My listing on NR is for my own personal profile and not my business.

They are not competing for my business. The people that hire me know what they get.

That doesn't shock me. Yesterday I went for a physical and saw a different doctor. He looked at my chart on the computer and said to me "So you are a mobile notary republic?" That was a doctor.

I don't get it
***Caller "Uh, yes...is this a notarization republic company?"**
So maybe your company isn't governed like a republic. Maybe it's a sole proprietorship, or a stock corporation, or a limited liability partnership. Still, there's no need to get snarky about it.

Re: I don't get it
I actually called a company here in Wisconsin just recently to tell her about her incorrect verbiage on the notary portion of a document that they have. It had Notary Republic twice in the notary section. She actually was very thankful that I called her and told her that this was incorrect. In addition to that they had some other verbiage that shouldnt be in the Notary's section. I pointed her to a section I have on my website with the correct sample statements that can be used for Wisconsin....
Not sure where this "republic" originated from, but I do see it quite often....

Reminds of an ad that runs a couple times a week in our
local paper. All types of notarizations done in house including Quick Claim Deeds. I called them one time to tell them that this is incorrect and before hanging up on me they blamed it on the newspaper for the error. Its been like that for at least 6 months.

Re:
I think it comes from the fast saying of the two words.
Nota ry Public.... the ry is pronounced as RE and carried over to the Public.
