I can't believe this but, I just had to cancel two closings,
which I actually just took this morning. I had one cancel before those calls so when I was offered these two I was really excited. Because I was at a closing when I took them I didn't realize that my town is already starting to flood. By the time I would have to get out to them, I'll be flooded in. In fact, I just went to the police station and the emergency squad across the street and they said that if I leave now for more than an hour or so, chances are I won't get back in because of the flooding that's already starting at low tide.
This is the Passaic River. I think we still have another 10 ft to hit by high tide at 9pm tonight.
My husband wont be able to make it in on time, so chances are he'll be sleeping in his home away from home, his customized van. Thank G*d for that van. We are so blessed. No matter what happens, I've no doubt that we'll get through it.

Please be vigilant and don't do anything foolish. Water can be so dangerous is so many ways. I'm in Kansas, and we are in a severe drought. It's so sad we can't ship the moisture where it's needed and take the damage away from where it is! God Bless all those in harms way. I hope you don't have much damage.
