Notary and/or other work?

I am just curious. Do you only do notary work, or do you have other sources of income other than notary work? If you do have another job, how do you handle the volume of work when it is busy?

I work a part-time job on top of being a Signing Agent. that way I know I will be able to pay my bills. Also I think I read if I pay some taxes in a regular job that they don't take as much out for Notary.

"They" don't take ANYTHING out for notary work. It is up to you to pay those taxes yourself, if necessary.

Although some do this full-time, or part-time without other income, MANY of us do it part-time to fill gaps of time and resourses. I'm a real estate broker, with little market activity now, so signing jobs are highly beneficial, but their decrease over the past several months has made my wallet beg for input/income from oter sources.

My signing gigs are sometimes subsidized by other

non-notary/real estate related projects. I only take on projects that have end dates.
