Prayers for my brother, Ted, requested
My 54 year old "baby" brother is on his way from Laughlin, NV to Las Vegas Hospital via ambulance for a triple bypass very shortly. Surgery at 8am. I know these are pretty routine procedures these days. None the less, I know the power of greatness in prayers from this board and I ask that you put out your fervent prayers for Ted Warren Wilson's surgery to go well and successfully. He and my sister were vacationing when Ted began having chest pains and went to a local hospital. He is my favorite brother, his daughter is with him for the ride.

Should be a walk in the park for him
I've had more bypasses than a New York City paving project, plus stents and an aortic valve made out of a bull's butt (there are those who would contend it actually was made from a horse's ass instead).
He'll spend a little time looking down nurses' blouses, then some time at home enjoying home cooking.
I know that you are concerned, but the worst part is that they will have to crack his chest, and that is the hardest part of the recovery. The bypass procedure itself, while not routine, is relatively glitch-free nowadays. Tell him just to relax and enjoy his time off.

Re: Should be a walk in the park for him
Hugh, thank you for your levity...think I'll go get a glass of wine and tryto relax....signings today one after the other...keeps me from thinking what life could be without Ted in it. I changed his diapers for crying out loud. He took me fishing to Avila a couple weekends ago, got me hooked up to a starfish...it was still fun and very relaxing.
Thank you again...lol. I'm going to cut and paste your post to him, he gets his emails on his verizon...in a few days....

Thank you, one and all, and those beyond, for your prayers and kind words. I just spoke with Ted...his surgery was put off for tomorrow. Drs. came in tonight and showed him a video of the procedure...Sobering. Hugh, wish you could be there to hold Ted's hand. He's a big guy, over six feet, but such a gentle soft Teddy bear. It breaks my heart watching what is happening with him. I will fly into LV this weekend to be with him, should be out of his surgical medication and resting by the time I arrive. Sis is going out tomorrow. His son, Randall, is on his way now and will be with his Dad at midnight.
I can't tell you how my heart aches for Ted. He is such a good man and loves the Lord.
