UPS 1, Fedex 0
Well, UPS won this one. I had three packages I dropped off to my local shipping store on Saturday. One UPS and two FedEx packages. The UPS package is on the truck for delivey this morning. The two FedEx packages are still sitting at my local FedEx HUB labeled with a shipment exception. I usually prefer Fedex over UPS any day, but UPS won this one!
My area was on the outskirts of the hurricane - we did not get hard here at all. There were a few scattered power outages though. I would have thought that Fedex would have gotten stuff out on Sunday though, since they chose not to or couldn't on Saturday.

Except that they fly!! Would you have been in a plane
on Sat. on the East Coast? The Fedex website clearly states that there may be shipment delays. I got mine dropped Sunday, were picked up today, & will be delivered tomorrow. The loans are funding on Wed., and everything should be fine.

Re: Except that they fly!! Would you have been in a plane
I know they fly... I just thought it odd that UPS got their package out and Fedex didn't - both local hubs are in the same place. One Fedex package was only going to northern VA but they route it through Kentucky anyway.

Where were the pckg going?
That has a lot more to do with it than where they are shipped from.

Re: Where were the pckg going?
UPS package went to PA. FedEx packages went to Northern VA and Utah.
And I goofed before - FedEx routes their packages through TN, not KY.
