deposition
First of all I'd like to thank all the posters on this site I've learnt a lot from you
I have a question how much is a fair hourly rate for a few depositions? Thank you very much. PS If you don't want to post your fee please message me. Thanks again.

You're probably just swearing them in, correct? You're not expected to sit through the depo - you go, swear them in, leave....it's whatever your state allows as a notary fee and, if allowed, a travel fee to get to the deponent.

If you will be swearing in more than one person and are expected to sit through each person's testimony, an hourly rate would be appropriate.
My minimum fee for swearing in one person is $50, so I would charge $50/hour.

If you are talking about a court reporter most court reporters are notaries also. They swear in the deponent and record his testimony on a stenotype. Generally they charge a per page transcription fee to type a transcript of the testimony. The last time I hired a court reporter/notary for a deposition she charged $800 for a full days's attendance and transcription.
