just to vent about a inspection

I just went on a very low paying inspection. I get there and the contact person is on a plane going on vacation. The person I talked to just started and didn't even work for him and did not know anything. I finished the so-called inspection and as I am driving home, I get pulled over for speeding. I then received a $245.00 ticket. Yeah, what I just made from my inspection will be a down payment for my ticket. I know it is my fault for the ticket, but I should have not have taken that call((

That is a bummer for sure. Here is another way to look at it, instead of thinking you shouldn't have taken the call, how about if you wished instead, that you had called ahead to confirm the time to meet the contact person, which could have put you there at a different time or day, since it very possible they would have wanted to meet at a different time, since the time you choose to show up was when they were gone. This would have also probably have been at a time when the cop would have been elsewhere too.

That is a good way to look at it. But, I am not suppose to call the contact person. When I take the call they give me a day with a time window when I can do the call. The scheduler then confirms the appointment time. The contact person must have known that he was going on vacation when they confirmed the call. I am not sure what happened.
