Cost of Legal Paper

...so I used my last ream of legal and I was left with 3 sheets of legal paper. Ok, so I knew I was really a little low, but most of what I print is letter-sized. Ran into Office Depot after I went to my last appt., changed and went to the bank. $10.99 per ream at the OD for the cheapest legal is way out of line. And that is all that they now carry. (Please somebody tell me the difference between Multi-purpose and Premium Mult-purpose. Seriously!)
The last ream I bought there was Hammermill and if anything it was about 8 bucks. (About a month ago or less.) I wonder if I can just order a case from Walmart with my Upromise card and at least get something back? I heard of groceries and gas going up at this time of year, but paper?! I'm off to The Mart in the AM anyway, but I just had to vent....-H. Thanks for listening to me babble.......

At a salvage place yesterday and they had cases of it

Negotiated for three cases ending up at $2.15 a ream, not too shabby.

Buy it by the case to get a better price.

I know the price of the paper can vary according to weight and brightness, letter v. legal, of course. Other than that, think it's just a fancy name to charge more money.

Why Legal Paper anyway? Is there a law that it has to be legal?
I think it varies from states and lenders.

My best source for paper--legal or letter--is Costco.

A case of legal runs about $42. IMO it's not cost-effective to buy paper by the ream.

Nobody beats Costco 42.00 per case
