FEDEX Express overnight-

Called our local Kinko's (I'm always scrounging for more supplies) and they said that there is no Express at all on Saturday, and FEDEX is closed on Monday too. So locally my last time to drop to get Express anywhere for Tuesday is 6:15PM on Friday the 23rd. Is anyone else going through that too? I had to let scheduling at one of my larger clients know so they could send an email out to management. They had no idea.

Last week I asked my local Pack N Ship about FedEx shipping schedules for Dec 23 & 24. She said that the pick-ups would be as-scheduled on both days. HOWEVER, I just checked the FedEx website, and all Saturday pickups are now crossed out with 0:00 listed in red font for the time. So it looks like your info is correct - express must be shipped by 12/23 in order to arrive on 12/27.

FedEx Problems?

Well, I'm starting to wonder if FedEx is struggling? Somebody tried to fit an oversize package into
a FedEx drop box that ultimately sprung the hatch, rendering it unusable. So, I contacted a CSR and told them about it, but nothing happened for 3 weeks; not even an out-of-order sign. Then, I complained to FedEx about the "Pickup Has or Has Not Occurred" flag being stuck on "Has Occurred" for several weeks? This forced me to drive way out of my way to another drop location! I guess, it's the little things I notice which causes me to wonder about FedEx, like limited hours and such.

According to the FDX rep I spoke with, their staffed locations (e.g., Windsor Locks, CT) are open and operating on a normal schedule ... i.e., until 9 PM on December 23rd and 5 PM on Saturday, December 24th. I don't know why other staffed locations aren't doing the same.

You should check to make sure they are picking up documents for delivery on Saturday. Even if the office is open, they may not be doing a pickup. There is no pickup on Monday or Saturday in the drop off boxes, but not sure about the staffed centers.

Many offices in Northern Illinois will be open Saturday, but nothing will ship after Friday night per FedEx district office tonight. To get there on Tuesday it has to be shipped on time Friday.
