Fed Ex not delivering until Wednesday the 28th.

I went to drop several packages on Saturday only to find that FedEx is not picking up until Tuesday the 27th and not delivering until Wednesday the 28th. I don't think a lot of lenders or their agents are aware of this. Even though it is not my problem I have a feeling I am going to hear about it when their packages don't arrive on Tuesday. Whats you take on this?

TIA

I noticed this, as well. I had a signing at 7pm on Friday. Can't drop package until Saturday, to make a difference, and saw this, as well. It will be a crazy couple of days for title companies. Not our problem. I am sure we'll get a call or email, but quick explanation removes and thought of fault.

Posted on this subject earlier this week. I had a Saturday closing and discussed this with the SS and we found a fix for that deal. I scanned the core docs to them so that they could get the scan to the TC Tuesday and then I dropped the entire package on Saturday at the FedEx office.

I won't waste my time worrying about it.

I had a signing on Friday night. Docs were sent back on Saturday via UPS. It's not my problem. Funniest part is that the lender was counting today as a recission day. I am not going to stress over it.

I think most cos. were aware of the shipping schedules.

Pkgs. dropped Fri. will be delivered Tues. Otherwise, no pickups until Tues. for delivery Wed.
The shippers were over-whelmed with those last-minute holiday deliveries. It's not their problem that it's EOM.
BTW, I think many tc's are closed today anyway.
I have several appts. today, and the cos. were aware that they won't ship until tomorrow.

I agree. We'll probably run into a similar situation this coming weekend.

Today is a Federal Holiday

Christmas Day was on a Sunday so Monday is the Federal holiday, so Fedex is probably taking the day off as well. UPS also observes today as a holiday.

I am sure the lenders are aware of Federal holidays.

BO for Fri closing was a UPS employee

He said they would deliver on Monday the 26th, but only overnight packages. I don't know if he was right, but I dropped the package Friday and after that, it's not my problem.
