How do I break the mold and prevent myself
from being type casted? Hopefully this will stimulate some discussions.
I have an LO that sends me a bit of business via a few TCs in my area; however, the TCs will only contact me if my favorite LO gets involved or is the LO for the BOs. I really would like to do more business with these TCs and have mentioned it from time to time, but no cigar yet.
Has anyone else had this experience? If so, how did you handle it and were you able to break the mold?
By the way, I understand that the TCs have their favorites too.

Try a Christmas cheese box, not asking them for their business, but thanking them for the patronage they have given you over the years. And be sure you have someone who knows what they are doing edit your note for spelling and grammatical errors. Use a term like "type casted" and you most likely will lose whatever benefit the gesture would bring.

Thank you for your comments. I am generally a person of few
words so hopefully a simply "Thank You" will not be mispelled.

Think you answered your own question: TCs have their favorites too

Go with the holiday "Thank You" and bide your time
When you have contact with TCs kill them with efficiency, professionalism, flexibility and kindness. Your turn will come someday. Their favorites may somehow-someday be relegated to another spot on the list where you will conveniently be rotated upward to their slot :o).
Bide your time and do your best always. The tide will turn in your favor. Happens all the time in the business.

Pick YOUR favorites
Find one person of power/decision making (even a sales person) at each TC and LAVISH them with excellent service. And gee, how about a lunch date?
People like to do business with people they like.
When I used to own my TA in IL, I used to do that with mortgage brokers so that I could get their title business - so there you go
