I think sticking to our price is working

I recieved a call from a SS yesterday for a signing on Monday.

She offered $75 for edocs and a signing 30 miles away.
I don't mind telling you people what I charge or what I said.
I told her that $75 was my base fee but you need to add $25 for edocs and $30 for mileage.
So I will do it for $130. She said " how about $85" HUH!! NO my fee for that job will be $130
She said she would see if she could get that approved. Yea right.

My point is:
1.) The city she wanted me to travel to has 9 or 10 times the population of my small town.
2.)There are 2 notaries listed here in not rot in my zip code.
3.) There are dozens of notaries listed in the zip code she wanted me to travel to. So why call me?

I think her boss told her to call everyone and get the one with the cheapest price. Don't they pay long distance phone charges?

I think $130 was a bargan for them concering the cercumstances of the offer.

And if they ever approve your fee, when confirmation letter arrives it has their payment policy that if loan cancels or does not fund they only pay 50.00 dollars! What???

Try to get reversed fees from FED EX because the loan didn't fund, I am still waiting for a loan that did not fund and the SS owners is still waiting for what escrow have to say, hey I did not get hired by the escrow. Thank you very much. That's why SS take a great % of our fee so they can be sure that the notary gets paid.
