As a general rule, I agree with Linda. However, if they were to call several days in advance for the signing and not accept my fee (code for I'll call around to try to find someone to accept the $75 type of fee) then call me a few hours prior to the signing, I might add a rush charge fee to the new quote (or I might not, just depends). IMO, it is not unprofessional to add a rush fee to a rush job if one wants to.
Other than that type of situation, the fee I quote them is the fee they would receive if they call me back in regular situations.
BTW, a "single refinance", generally speaking, takes just as long as a "simple refinance", a "just a refinance", "a refi", etc. Be sure to price your services based upon the job and not any marketing techniques that make it sound easier or less time consuming than it really is. jmo

I don't believe so. They always look for cheaper notaries and docs are never on time. It's a waste of your time and it's last minute without notice, by charging a little extra, you get a reasonable fee for the assignment, complete it, and it's over with. The signing co is saving time and $ too...
