Kudos to UPS Drivers
I was rushing to my next signing & needed to find a UPS drop box so I would not be late. The last signing took too long. In my rear view mirror I saw a big brown box truck. I held my UPS package out my window and turned on my right turn signal. Low & behold the big brown box truck turned on it's right turn signal. Before I could get out of my car the driver (a lady) ran to my car, took the package and ran back to her truck and off she went. All I could do was wave and shout as she drove away, "thank you". Thank you UPS!

The other night...
around 8:50pm I finished up a closing in Jersey City, NJ. Although it was down by the Hudson River (a very affluent area), the route I had to take home was not so much!
As I mentioned in a previous post, I do NOT like to hold people's documents any longer than I absolutely have to. I was trying to figure out how I could get these doc's to a drop off that would deliver them for the next day. I know there is one HUB in particular that is open till 9, but there is no way I would have made it there in 10 min's. There was a closer HUB in the area I was in, but they don't seem to have an office, their latest pickup at the box outside is 8pm or so.
As I was driving in this not so good area (in my non-defensive way of driving)-after all, I wanted to get out of this area as quickly as possible-I see this big truck ready to cut me off-of course I push on my accelerator-..which he DID. I was really ticked until I realized it was UPS!!! I was like, holy crap! What am I getting angry about? I asked for help and it's just been dropped in my lap. At the next light-against my better judgment and praying that my car didn't get hijacked (maybe an answer to someone ELSE's prayer needing a RIDE somewhere), I jumped out (it was raining out and I had gotten my hair blown out earlier...ugh...I didn't care at that point) leaving my door wide open and ran up to the window-I scared the heck out of the driver the way I ran up, but I handed it through the window to him. I apologized profusely as I was thanking him. As I followed him most of the way because his route back to the HUB was the same as mine, when he turned off, we both honked at each other...saying goodnight!! It was really pretty cool!!! lol

In addition, my town UPS driver (as cute as he can be)
calls me a stalker (and tells me there's something wrong with me...rofl!!) because I'm always chasing him down to give him my packages. I've been known to drive around my one square mile town looking for him. Many times I do it just to make him laugh.
It's all in fun and I get my doc's secured to someone I trust.

Are you sure it's not just those cute brown shorts that have you chasing him all over, NJDiva?

I Believe That Is Their Policy
You can flag them down if you have a UPS shipment that needs to be delivered. Of course, you must have a UPS pre-paid label on the package....

huh? You mean you can't just flag them down?
Did you ever notice that most of them are rather good looking? I wonder if it's a prerequisite? lol

Not sure if it hold true for UPS but it's worth
consideration - may want to check before you continue doing that..
I did that with a FedEx driver some time ago (back in my CT law firm days) - handed him the package and he told me if he took it out of my hands it would cost the paying party more than if I dropped it in the box.
Something to consider..
