New Gmail - anyone else not liking the change -

Tried to log on today. New version has my left side of screen garbled. "Task, compose mail, etc." Having difficulty retrieving email. Replied to one email and it disappeared from screen. Use Gmail only for loan docs. Will find another provider. My local isp cannot accommodate the large attachments. That's why I went to Gmail. Tried all their trouble-shooting and I am not tech savvy. Will probably use yahoo. Thanks

You should be able to go back to the previous version. I did it but I can't remember how - must have been in my account settings.

Re: Was able to do that. Gmail states new version will

eventually be "permanent". Not stating when, however.

You can go back in the account settings, however, it will only be temporary. You can also do it by going directly to the bottom and changing it temporarily. Gmail is going to do an update that will force the new version on everyone, per their site. I too do not like the new version.

Yahoo. Want it as a backup should the new Gmail become permanent. Lots of headaches with the new gmail.

Yahoo is updating also, using the same base script that the new Google mail is. Both are changing because of enhanced security. However if the programs on your computer are up to date, you should not have any issues.

Make sure you have accepted all your updates, not only Windows updates, but be sure you are running the most recent version of Flash.

And current version of Java, and many more. Security is

getting tighter, and I think that is a good thing.

I am happy with my Gmail.

Yahoo and Gmail

It might be of interest to know that at times it takes much longer, sometimes the next day for some mails to be delivered through Yahoo. I have both accounts and have encountered very late mails from Yahoo. That could be a real problem when waiting for docs. I just can't afford to use Yahoo for business because of this.

I've used Yahoo for 10 years...

...and have never ever noway nohow seen document delivery delayed like that. The worst problem I have had is that an email will be shunted into the spam folder.

Exactly what was it you did to PO the Yahoo Gods?
