Notary Scout site
I ran across this Notary directory website recently and was surprised that I was listed, as I was fairly sure I had never submitted anything to them. The text at the bottom of the page revealed the source:
"Notary Scout™ is powered by the Notary Rotary® nationwide notary search engine. Notary Scout and Notary Rotary are trademarks of Notary Rotary, Inc. Copyright 2010. All rights reserved."
I am aware that posting about NR competitors is kabash, but this seems to warrant an exception.

Entered my zip code, and all the current NotRot profiles came up. Maybe this is a new venture for Harry, but seems like a duplication of effort if it contains the same profiles?

Yes correct, it even has a picture I just posted two hours ago on it. I posted it on NR

Interesting. I'm not listed there, and only a few notaries in my area are. I'm think I'd read there was something in the works with PAW & Sylvia. Could this be a collaration?

I think that had something to do with taking over the
SR site/info/database.

NotaryScout.com is our site. It's an alternative way of looking at things that we advertise a little differently. We'll be promoting only Notary Rotary Premier Members on that site and we may introduce a "pay for placement" model. This is in response to people who sometimes ask things like, "Hey, can I just pay you $600 to get a top spot in my area? That's what I pay another service and it seems like I'm getting more calls from that listing."
We've been advertising it off-and-on in California for a year or two and it's generated a lot of leads. Unfortunately, most of the members who have benefited from those leads probably have not made the connection. Since it's currently not an official feature of Premier Membership, we are not providing any level of member support for it.

James, PLS don't encourage Harry to make that new site one
where it'll offer "preferred placements" at outrageous or ridiculous placement costs...for example, on the numbers site, for $1,299 I can be placed at #17...WTH...I don't think so...especially because I can count on one hand on the amount of referrals I get from that site and this one for that matter.
Harry, I'm all for the new site, if it generates more exposure to your site, and our individual notary businesses! =) More exposure, more $$$. I get it. But one thing I did notice on that new site when doing a search in my zip code, I'm listed in my home zip code and NOT in my business one, which is the one listed on my profile...can this be changed please?
I just really hope that the new site doesn't become another nsa site where we'd have to pay an arm, leg, lung, 1st born, just be listed at the top or near it...should be listed in Alpha order or order the notary joined site...IMO.

Ditto. That site that sells preferential spots has always
been a sore spot with notaries. The industry is competitive enough, with an advertising site adding to the competition arena. BTW, I'm not for an alpha listing order, since that would put me at the bottom of the list. LOL

Re: James, PLS don't encourage Harry to make that new site one
Well let me tell you this. In my area there is one notary that occupies the top spot on ALL the zip codes in a majority of the bay area. If you look it up, see who they are you will see this is not by accident.
Take it another step and then see who the father is (I'm not talking about NR BTW). That had to be by design, not an accident. I will NEVER be able to get THAT spot.
I think it would be fair to only be allowed the top spot once, then everybody moves up the list one spot. The cost would be the same, just the name different. No financial lost suffered by owner.
Cari, the prices are specific to the area, your area is 4 1/2 times the price what mine is.
The key is to get the most for your advertising budget, IMO and because I just terminated my ad with one agency, I'm prime to put my money somewhere else. That's it.

I agree!
If there's going to be some kind of "preferential" listing, I think the only thing that makes sense would be the seniority idea, i.e. basing it on how long a person has been a paying supporter of this site. Alphabetical listing doesn't make a lot of sense to me (even though I'd be near the top.) You could have the prime listings go to someone who just got their notary commission - plus, you'd then have to deal with all kinds of attempts by people to game the system.
