PDF Printing Issue

I received the docs in separate attachments. Every attachment printed fine until I got to the lender docs. They downloaded fine but were very slow to appear on the screen. When I tried to print, I only got characters here and there. I called Title and they resent them secured and then unsecured.
Still wouldn't print correctly. I did a a search and read that it could be the way they were scanned in. The TC says it is an issue with my software. Any other ideas?

Gee...is this the same company that told one of us

(not me) - in response to printing issues - that she should get a new computer??

No, I don't think so. They are actually one of the good ones. I tried to use my husband's computer and had the same problem anyway.

Well, Donna, the fact that the other attachments printed just fine, that should speak for itself. 99% of the time when I have helped with these situations, the problem has been on the sending end. Someone has the wrong settings when they scan them in, so they are scanning them in as images, most probably. All they did was re-send the same images rather than scan them in with the proper settings. Good luck on getting them to admit they made a mistake. Usually what happens on our end is that they will take forever to load properly, if they ever do, and use a lot of memory and processor power when printing, if they download properly at all.

But just in case you are the 1%, re-boot your computer, then if you didn't before, open the documents in Adobe stand alone mode rather from within a browser. Right click on the document icon, choose "open with" and then choose Adobe reader. There is a free.pdf reader called "Foxit" from cnet.com that sometimes will allows you to print such documents, however, it won't separate the page size.

As far as dealing with the TCs, I had one just a few days ago call me "stupid" for a similar problem. When I asked them to check the settings on the scanner to see if they scanned them in as an "image" or "document", it got real quite. They resent the docs in about an hour without admitting guilt. Never been told to buy a new computer, though. "Stupid is as stupid does".

Good Luck ...

Thanks, Glen. I tried what you suggested and it still didn't work. They said they were going to find another notary. This has never happened before. As I said, all the other attachments printed fine. I asked them to let me know if the new notary was able to print the docs so I will know if I have an Adobe issue.
I just hope it all works out for the BO.

Doesn't this brake the NotRot rule only 1 profile per person? Look like same person may have 2 profiels or something else.

woah...Glenn, called YOU stupid? Dude, Id've gone off!

So good of you to have patience, to just ignore it and stick to the point. Me, it depends on my mood of the day...so far this morning, not so good, I think if it had been me, I would've told him/her to shove the closing up their a$$, after cursing them in spanish about them, their, mother, dog, etc....

I hope that you won't have to endure this type of behavior from anyone at a TC or SS in the future!

Kudos to you Glenn! Wink
