Problem with HL-5340D
I did a search and I can't find my answer. I few days ago my toner led started blinking once in a while, I knew my cartridge was almost reaching the 8K pages but I always leave it till it can't print no more pages.
Well today I was printing a huge package and then it stopped, I put in another cartridge and it did not wanted to print, I then installed the EOM brother cart and yellow led still on.
I turned off the printer, and then turn it on and then pressed the go button till all leds light up and to reset everything and it did not worked, I did a complete shut down on my pc and still not working.
Anybody knows what's going on with this printer?
It only has 15K pages I bought it at Costco.
Thanks for your help.

You might have a paper jam, open the back and have a look.

I believe there is a procedure to leave the door open after installing new cartridge and pressing the go button three times or some such and then closing the door. What brand is your new cartridge. I just installed my 1st toner in my new MFC8680 dual tray, which has similar generation printer guts and don't recall any issues. I used aftermaket brand. If someone with a 5340-70 doesn't respond later/ tomorrow I'll try to research, or you can use the search button here, or your manual. Notrot is where I read about it. Try Google: brother toner reset.

1. Open the front cover and leave open while completing the following steps. 2. Turn the printer off. 3. Hold the 'go' button while turning the printer on. All panel lights should be on. 4. Release the 'go' button. 5. Press the 'go' button 2 times. 6. Pause. 7. Press the 'go' button 5 times. 8. The toner light should be off. 9. The paper light should be on or flashing. 10. Close cover. The ready light should be the only light on.
