Robo-signing notary found dead in Las Vegas

Here's a link:

What a shame - on so many levels!

Reminds me of a post a while back where someone was being asked by a company to notarize a signature for over 2,000 employees over two days. Maybe they were trying to find someone to replicate the robo-signers? I wonder if anything ever came of that request.

This is only the tip of the iceberg of the story. The 11/22/11 story about the charges brought against the title company employees should also be read. The indictment was 440 pages long!

Hoorah for Nevada for getting things rolling on this fraud. It's a systemic problem, and like the law professor said, I hope the powers that be don't stop with the low level people, but bring charges against the upper level instigators of the policy they followed.

Very sad. Money is not worth breaking the law, and the effect it has on homeowners.
