Servicelink Back with Another Stip
Apparently mass email sent out to schedulers in the last couple of days.
Mandatory cap of 15.00 on EDOCS. Should be interesting to see how that turns out.

Up the signing fee by $10 - or $20 for wiggle room....

What about just quoting them a fee without any breakdowns? Let them break it down whatever way they need to justify it to their bean counters.
Get all the info first .. type of signing, distance, any fax backs, etc. first then quote one price and leave it at that.
I have yet to see a customer walk into a retail store and tell the owner that they will only pay $90 for a $175 item, they must wait for up to 30 days for payment, and still walk out of that business with the item. More power to them if they have found such a gullible owner. They better take advantage while they can as that owner will probably not be in business for long.

oh yea, i forgot to mention. that is with a base fee of 55.00 and a total of 70.00 for all closings.
i dont see it working out too well. i refused it and i live in kentucky. i can have lower fees here and actually still make a little bit of money. i cant imagine other states with very high costs of living.

$55-$70 -- What a joke.
More like $150 minimum, for one that is in my zip code for them.

It is so sad, because I know other notaries who work for them and get paid $100-150 per signing, so I tried to sign up with them and was told that I couldn't be placed into their database unless there was at least one county that I would be willing to get paid $55 to handle signings in (they overnight docs so you rarely have to print). She said she could then put a note in about the other counties I handle and my $xxx rate.
I even asked if she could put me in for my county with their ridiculous fee and then put a note showing my true fee and that I could be used for back up when no-one would accept their fee, and she said management would kick it out and there was nothing she could do.

Re: frustration -
They used to be a mainstay for me and I enjoyed working for them. I even have their bogus rating of "Preferred Notary". What with their lower fees, fewer calls, and now to top it off, we have to keep track of how to invoice them for our work. They are becoming a PITA.

Servicelink -always have problems with them
They tried to tell us what they want to pay but we stuck to our guns and get the $125.00 we were asking. Oh they will say they will find someone cheaper but call us 15 minutes later to confirm for $125. Main problem is that that you can never contact them with a problem. They have an automated system, you leave a message but no one calls back. We had to call them 12 times today(not exaggerating) just to get the docs. Some how, all these companies think that they are your one and only.

Re: Servicelink -always have problems with them
Service Link called me the other day and offered me to go do a modification for one price. I received the order and what do you know it says $35.00. Heck no I am not doing it for $35.00 I have emailed them to let them know but no response yet.

I kicked ServiceSTINK to the curb 2 years....
Their monthly invoicing is a PITA and they're not going to tell me how much my business can charge for eDocs. The nerve of them!!!
