SoCal Signings
Very hard to squeeze a payment of of these clowns. I notice that all their four star ratings are from CA. I bet they rate themselves. I will never work for them again.

Even their website mentions 45 days to pay and has a way to submit a payment inquiry, so to me that is a red flag.

When will we learn!?!?
You (and everybody) should do a orange button search in addition to checking SC ratings, which can be manipulated, and obviously were in SoCal Signings' case. If you had done a search, you would have found all sorts of horrid comments about them.
They may tell you their "checks go out net 45 days, every Friday," but in my experience and the experience of many others, they seldom go out - at least to the notary. These guys are in the SOX and R&R cateogry.

I haven't worked for them, but I do find the rash of 5 star posts (9 in less than 48hrs) to be very suspicious.
This company has never had that many (good or bad) in such a short time. I find it hard to believe that so many would wait until the same 24-48hr period to shower them with 5-Star ratings.
Wonder if Harry could check to see if some these "great" reports are coming from accounts that have very recently been set up? This may not be the case, but it does seem very suspicious, imo. Especially when one considers that not one of those posters have posted on this thread in defense of this company.

Agree. Sure does look like they're gaming the system
and not just recently. I've never worked for them, but the vast difference in opinions tells me something just isn't right.

Hello Moneyman, I can tell you that I feel that the string of copy and pasted negative feedbacks being left by several different accounts seems very suspicious to me seems how I have personally worked for this company for 2 years straight without any issues whatsoever. I would suspect that the reason you don't see notaries that work for SoCal Signings on a regular basis on here defending the company is because we stay busy enough with work we get from them and we do not have the time to sit around posting in this forum. The "rating" system here is a joke to say the least as far as I can tell anyways. I can tell you that I have accidentally left feedback for the wrong company and the system just lets you do it without ever doing so much as a single job for said company. Anyways, like I said, I have been doing notary work for SoCal Signings for 2 years and I would say they are a top notch company in my opinion.

1notary: do you live in TX? Work for SoCal Signings?
Why/how do you say you do re: Msg #407053
I find you suspect.

Lisa and Bret worked for Docuservusa a few years ago before the crash. Docuservusa stiffed me for several hundred dollars when Johnny Antonelli went out of biz. They have learned the business well. Anyone who works for this company should jut consider they are donating their time, possibly result in not getting paid at all. Why accept their low ball offers, then not get paid for your trouble.
Hope everyone sees this and gets this! I have not worked for this company in over a year, maybe two. I have to look it up.

I found out that Brett Babos was hired by Lisa a couple years ago and that's when I finally cuts ties with them. Docuserv stiffed me for several hundred as well. Ultimately, I would have declined work with Socal anyway because every single time I did any work with them I'd have to chase down payment well exceeding 45 days. So frustrating that these companies stay in business.

They called me this evening for a closing refi tomorrow (open time they said) To me, that means chasing down the borrower and hoping they call you back. I turned them down and feel it was a good decision, waiting 45 days for low pay OR any pay is ridiculous; if I'm going to give them a short term loan, they could at least add some interest on it
