The hazzards of the job.

After I finished a signing tonight, I was straitning the papers and got a paper cut.

I hear that you are not a veteran until you have had at least 1 paper cut. I am now a vet.

Have you ever sliced your finger open on a FedEx envelope?! THAT'LL leave a mark! lol

I did that once - though it seems to defy physics! I had just sat down at a 'full table' with agents and buyers and sellers in a schmancy office - and in circles such as that, it's generally frowned upon to bleed openly ... I now have band-aides in my bag. Had to close that one with a piece of paper towel taped around my finger.

.. and that's why I also started keeping band-aids in my notary bag!

Whenever I see those must-have lists for newbies (laser printer, blue pens, etc.) I'm always tempted to add band aids.

Geez. Sounds like you guys need to add...

...a casualty rider to your E&O insurance. The worst that's happened to me was a gassy pregnant woman during a closing. I kept telling myself, "Pregnant women are beautiful, pregnant women are beautiful, pregnant women are beautiful..." That worked on my optical nerves, but unfortunately had zero impact on my olfactory glands.

Should always carry an extra set of

pantyhose....can be used as a tourniquet, or to tie the paper towels to an extremity in an emergency!
