Why UPS may toss

I have seen them do that when delivering packages to my daughter's house - but the packages weren't fragile. The one driver stood in the door of his truck and got the package sorta close to the door using an underhanded throw. Daughter has two dogs that have quite LOUD, BIG dog barks, and they get riled when just hearing the UPS truck coming down the street. They jump in the window and make themselves known, and needless to say are a little unnerving even while inside the house. UPS drivers don't come near the door.

Re: Caught on tape, too. I'm sure the Fedex guy is now

I doubt that said FedEx driver was fired. My own experiences with FedEx suggest otherwise. They seemingly get some weird thrill out of hearing how their drivers put one over on a package recipient. That is why I ask that packages I send all require a signature from a responsible adult at the delivery location. Incompetent employees are, I dare say, celebrated, if not worshiped. That is why employee behavior has gotten so bad. Most companies like FedEx and UPS have so many customers, if they upset 25% of them daily, the shippers wouldn't care. Heck...they probably even enjoy hearing about your frustration. For every customer they lose, twice as many are waiting in line to take lost customer's place. Besides, they are the only real game in town, anymore. And, they know it.

Many are contract for the holidays - when the rush is over,

either they are gone or someone already in line to be gone is gone. This is try-outs for full time.
