American Freedom Assurance, Inc. - 5 months delinquent.

American Freedom Assurance, Inc. isn't listed in Signing Central---as far as I can see.

Call and talk with Mick Canci or Dan Rover who I believe is the owner of the company. Explain the delinquency and I'm pretty sure they will take care of it. They were pretty far behind with me and after talking with them, they paid quickly, in less than a week.

I have several open for them on my books. They've gone back to their old payment scheduled, I've been told, which is to pay the end of the following month. I just emailed them the other day on 2 that were due to be paid 1/31 & still no check. I hope they're not back to making excuses for slow payment. I know I won't take any more from them until I see some money.

I received an email from them on 01/11/2011 saying that invoices for closings during a month must be submitted by the 5th of the following month.

Re: Yes, I've submitted invoices twice a month for this signing.

I just accepted a job by this company. After reading SC and forum notes, I was a little skeptical. Then, I got the confirmation where I was expected to sign a contract, I then declined the job.
I don't sign contracts with title companies or signing services.

(I just got this today in my messages on Notary Rotary. As I also had a invoice it took over 90 days for them to pay.) Thought this might help some of you still trying to get your money.

Dan Rover and Leo Betti are the two owners of American Freedomn Assurance. It appears that their freedom is being assured at our expense. Their arcane payment policy gives them effectively 60 days plus to pay while most notarys' utility, credit cards and mortgage companies expect to be paid every 30 days. Time is money. What we have paid in toner, paper, vehicle wear and tear and fuel is costing us more because we are being forced to carry their business. All you have to do is check your county recorder's website to know when the mortgage or deed of trust that you notarized for AFA was recorded (usually within two weeks of the closing) and that AFA has been paid. Now they expect you to patiently to wait and wonder when the !%# you're going to be paid. I have found that I have been spending as much if not more time trying to collect from delinquent companies as it took to close their file.
