Do you complete certificates in print or cursive?

I write in cursive 100% of the time, unless specifically instructed to print or unless I'm notarizing.

I was just flipping through my journal and said to myself "Why do I print these entries when I write everything else in cursive?". I reasoned with myself that it was for legible recordkeeping. Same goes for completing certificates - I always print.

But then I realized that I never print anything else - I always write in cursive - checks, messages, notes...

I know this seems silly, but it just hit me and I wanted to share LOL

Print sometimes, unless there is lots to write.

Sometimes I just get lazy and irritated when I get those that are so skimpy as to be worthless. Sometimes I just print my own extras and type in blanks and sign, depending on time before I go to appt. And I abbreviate ID and DL sometimes. There are a lot of variables.

When I am preparing documents at work

I always fill in as much as possible for the notary's convenience.

If the document drafter knows who will be signing it, they could at least fill in the signer's name. It's nice when they go ahead and put in "Florida driver license" too Smile

Legibility is the key. I've seen a few notary certs. that

were obviously done in a rush, and were barely legibile. I usually print.

Talking about rushed....I just reported one to the SOS

that I found today - unbelievable - Assignment of Mortgage (a private mortgage, individual to individual) - from current Mortgagee to his bank....last page has his signature lines....then

****************Acknowledgement********************

Blank space under here...notary prints in

"State of Florida Columbia County"

And sticks his stamp on it!!! That's it - no wording, no date, no signature..nothing...

Ugh - at least he printed and it was legible...Smile

I always print, for a very simple reason

I can't read my own handwriting, so what chance does anyone else have?

I always print using plain letters.

This makes it legible.
